Hi, 

I’m Zack.

As a child growing up in the 80’s, I remember going with my dad to various building sites he was working on.

One of my earliest memories was being a 7 year old and taking my guitar to the house my dad was working at.

The more I went, the more I loved it.

This is where I learnt to love the construction industry and the life of the construction site.

The comradery between your team and people from various trades and the feeling of doing a ‘real’ days work really gave me a buzz.

I remember being a 13 year old learning how to make cement the ‘old skool’ way with a shovel and really helping my pop.

Using power tools when I was older was also fun.

Making cups of tea however for everyone wasn’t as much fun.  If you think office workers drink lots of tea, go to a construction site and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Anyway, I digress.

Although I acquired a BSc Computer Science Degree and moved away into the IT industry, my passion for all things DIY still remain very strong.  

Having a young family always gives you a new challenge at home and keeps you on your toes…excuse the pun.

Many a time looking online for a pair of work boots, the information I found was not very good.

In fact, it was quite poor.

I felt frustrated.

Most, if not all of the sites in the search results were just promoting products to make a buck without thinking about MY requirements.

They told me what products I needed to buy without any real justification.  In many cases, the reasoning was incorrect.

That really annoyed me.

As a result, in 2014 I set this site up because I want to help YOU acquire knowledge so that you can make informed decisions when it comes to your safety footwear.

By using a combination of real life experiences and credible research from my writing team, I’m hoping that the information that you find on the site will really help equip you with the knowledge you need for your safety boots.
